Traffic Maps

TxDOT annually collects, on average 82,000 short term, traffic counts, 1,000 manual traffic counts and more than 300 long term counts. We collect data 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to support federal, state, regional and local transportation entities.

District Traffic Map - Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT)

District Traffic maps show the Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) counts on TxDOT-maintained roads. Twenty-four-hour counts, with truck and seasonal factors, are applied. They are organized by our 25 districts and by the year collected.

Urban Saturation Maps

The Urban Saturation maps show Average Daily Traffic (ADT) counts on TxDOT-maintained roads, county roads and city streets. Each district is counted every 5 years, averaging 5 districts per year. Traffic volumes are not adjusted for truck or seasonal variations and are organized by our 25 districts and year collected.

Statewide Flowband Maps

The Statewide Flowband maps depict the total traffic and truck volume produced on TxDOT-maintained roads. Counts shown are bi-directional and are based on AADT.
