Citizens' Advisory Committees

Two citizens' committees were charged with studying the current and future needs of the I-35 and I-69 Corridors. They were asked to assess corridor-wide issues including economic, political, societal, demographic and financial, among others.

Similar Conclusions

While the committees studied the corridors independently of each other, they came to similar conclusions on important issues.

  • Projects should be developed as needed to meet local transportation demands and should also be compatible with corridor-wide mobility.
  • The use of existing rights of way, wherever possible, should be considered first
  • Communities should be fully engaged in the planning and decision-making process
