The US 277 re-route around Holliday stands as the first major phase of the
Wichita Falls District's involvement in the expansion to transform the roadway
into a 4-lane divided highway. Now complete, motorists are able to travel just
North of Holliday without stopping or they can take a Business 277 Exit to drive
through town.
Work began in mid-August 2004 and the new roadway was opened to traffic May
25th, 2006.
