I-37 and Loop 13 in Bexar County
TxDOT will be reconfiguring the current cloverleaf design interchange to a
diamond shaped interchange, which will improve mobility and safety for
motorists. The project will also add an overlay on I-37 and raise three bridges
- the New Braunfels Bridge, Hot Wells Bridge and Southcross Bridge - to the
current standard of 16 feet and add pedestrian amenities, such as sidewalks.
The $30 million project began in August 2008 and is anticipated for completion
December 2009.
