Loop 224 Nacogdoches North - Main Objectives
The following are the main objectives for the project, which will run from US
59 to Business US 59:
- Widen the existing roadway from two-lanes to four-lanes
- Evaluate the alternatives of a raised concrete curb median or a
depressed grass ditch
- Build a median to separate eastbound and westbound traffic
- Evaluate locations for median cross-over access
- Evaluate the need for new bridge structures over the UP railroad and
over Business US 59 in order to improve safety and mobility in the area
