Canceled: La Entrada al Pacifico Corridor Feasibility Study

Special Note: Study Termination

This study was terminated prior to completion.

Study Information

The La Entrada al Pacifico Corridor feasibility study is examining potential transportation improvements between Mexico and Texas. These improvements will increase the mobility of goods and people from Mexican ports on the Pacific Coast to the Midland-Odessa area.

The feasibility study will:

  • determine the feasibility of a four-lane divided facility within the designated national corridor, as well as any other corridors identified through the public involvement process
  • identify and prioritize potential roadway improvement alternatives along the nationally designated corridor, if a four-lane divided facility is not feasible
  • evaluate the economic impacts of future connections and improvements to the infrastructure in Mexico.
identify financial and institutional issues related to the development and construction of the corridor
  • provide public involvement through an outreach program and public meetings.

We are committed to working in partnership with all stakeholders, including all communities within the corridor study area, the Midland-Odessa Transportation Alliance and Mexico. This commitment will ensure a comprehensive analysis of the existing corridor and allow for an overall view of the corridor's future needs.
