TxDOT's
four regions provide administrative and project management support
to the department's 25 districts, including administrative and
project management support.
Internal support includes facility, information technology, purchasing and accounting. For project management, the regions aid in environmental planning, scheduling, metropolitan planning organization coordination, administering the Transportation Improvement Program and right of way acquisition.
