Design Division

The Design Division guides the development of construction projects from conception to the release of detailed plans for construction bidding.

The division is involved in most areas of highway design, from roadway geometrics to landscape design. Over 800 construction contracts on average per year are bid by contractors.

Responsibilities include developing design policies and roadside safety criteria, providing hydraulic design expertise, overseeing the selection of professional services consultants, and managing several landscape programs.
